Challenge 101: My favorite first episodes

Its rare that a show grips me from episode one, but Lucifer did it. It was a mix of the music and Tom Ellis and Lauren German's acting. And Trixie. I still don't know what hit me, I loved it immediately.

Honorable mention: White Collar. Their relationship fascinated me from that very first scene where Peter finds Neal in that loft.

Challenge #102 - Remakes

Remakes, re-imaginings, restarts, reboots, adaptations, anything that is a new version of something that's come before. The medium is not relevant: stage plays made into movies count just as tv shows that follow movies or the other way around.

Examples: New Who as a reboot of the Doctor Who franchise. Veronica Mars had a long break between the movie and the original tv show, so I would let it count. Pretty much all the Sherlock Holmes versions count. The Star Wars movies... maybe. The Star Trek Reboot movies: definitely. The new MCU movies count as well, since they're a re-imagination of the comics. Our media landscape is full of reboots and remakes, so the choices are endless. Do this challenge as narrowly or as inclusively as you like, I won't fault you. :D
