For this challenge, I went with Baldur's Gate, EverQuest, Forgotten Realms, and Star Wars.

It was a given that I would use Minsc and Boo to represent BG! How can I not?


As for my second entry, I chose to highlight Antonia Bayle in this challenge. I always liked how they revamped her look. Original Antonia gave off stripper vibes (not that there's anything wrong with that. It was just painfully obvious her original design was catered to the straight male gaze). New Antonia looks more mature and less like a fantasy for the male gaze. It's still there but nowhere near as bad.


When I started making the third entry, I thought the best representation for the FG campaign setting was Drizzt Do'Urden. He may no longer be my favorite character from that setting, but he's an influential one. He's been important to the setting.


I was tempted to pick another fantasy series for my last entry. Originally, it was a tossup between Lord of the Rings and A Song of Fire and Ice. However, when Star Wars popped into my head, I immediately wanted to use Star Wars: Rebels. I think I like Ezra Bridger better than Luke Skywalker.

I chose my zodiac sign which is also my favorite element. I love being a Leo! However, I only created 3 icons this time.

For this challenge, I chose Belle from Beauty and the Beast and Mulan from Mulan.

I love how the former doesn't fall for Gaston's bullshit. She seeks to better herself and I can relate to that.

As for the latter, I'll admit to not having seen Mulan yet, but she's still one of my favorites. Especially because she's based off of a real historical figure. Also, we may not be the same flavor of Asian, but I must show some solidarity!

For this challenge, I chose 2 of my favorite desserts: Halo-Halo and Turon!

As usual, the first 2 are the former and the final 2 are the latter.

Halo-Halo (pronounced Hah-low Hah-low) translates to Mix-Mix. It's a Filipino dessert made with shaved ice that's layered in condensed milk, ube ice cream, jellies, sweetened red beans, coconut flakes, and various fresh fruits (I like mine with jackfruit and sabo bananas). Flan is also another staple usually added to Halo-Halo. After everything is layered, you mix it together and enjoy!

Turon is also a Filipino dessert. It's a banana coated in brown sugar, then wrapped into a lumpia wrapper (spring roll wrap) and fried to a golden brown. Most variations use sabo bananas and jackfruit, but they can be made with the typical banana as well. Using your run-of-the-mill banana just ends up being an even stickier and sweeter mess. Either way, very tasty!

For this one, I chose one of my favorite all-time sketch comedies: Kids in the Hall! The first user picture is the whole gang. The second is my favorite character, Buddy Cole. Next is Simon and Hecubus. Finally, the Chicken Lady.

For challenge 166, I chose David Xanatos from Gargoyles. He's such a great character that he has a whole TV trope named after him!

My second choice was Kuvira from Avatar: The Legend of Korra. I love relating to my favorite villains, and I can relate to her feelings of abandonment. I feel A: TLoK doesn't get enough love.

My choices are Into the Woods and Cyrano (the off-Broadway version starring Peter Dinklage).

With ItW, I immediately thought of Bernadette Peters. But, I couldn't resist using Meryl Streep's performance either. Both actresses made the character their own.

Regarding Cyrano, I couldn't find a photo of the character from the off-Broadway production that I liked. I quickly found two pictures of Peter Dinklage from the movie I felt were great.

I saw these when I was a teenager. As such, they hold a dear place in my heart.

Trick came out in 1999. It's about a musical theater major who falls for a go-go boy. They spend most of the night trying to find a place to be all alone, but shenanigans keep ensuing.

But, I'm a Cheerleader also came out that year. It's about a cheerleader who only realizes she's into women when she is sent to a conversion therapy camp for teenagers. Both of these movies I watched on IFC and both of these movies have left a lasting impression on me.
