binary_sunsetI know it's a controversial choice, but I literally love Call Me By Your Name. I think it's one of those films that hit me at the perfect time (I was around Elio's age when it came out), and it's really the only piece of media that specifically focuses on queer Jewish characters. If you've not seen this movie yet, I really hope you'll check it out! It's kind of become a comfort movie for me.
I made 2 icons, but only 1 qualifies for the challenge (I have to work larger because GIMP hates small images and then shrink it later and the text was completely illegible lmao).

tinnyShelter is one of my fave movies ever, sadly I don't have a player to watch it on anymore and couldn't find any screenshots of it anywhere, so I had to use my old batch. *sigh*
A newer fave is Fyra Ar Till, a Swedish romcom, which I also absolutely recommend. (It's available for cheap on dvd. And I just realized that it's on Netflix, too. Huh.)

Trick & But, I'm a Cheerleader

Trick came out in 1999. It's about a musical theater major who falls for a go-go boy. They spend most of the night trying to find a place to be all alone, but shenanigans keep ensuing.
But, I'm a Cheerleader also came out that year. It's about a cheerleader who only realizes she's into women when she is sent to a conversion therapy camp for teenagers. Both of these movies I watched on IFC and both of these movies have left a lasting impression on me.

Challenge #162 - Queer Romance Movie

Very straightforward (haha) theme: movies only, no tv shows, books, etc. Movie adaptations/recordings of stage plays count. The main theme of the movie should be the romance, or it should at least be one of the major themes - not an action movie with an obscure side pairing. As for what constitutes queer... basically everything that's not (cis)het. Please ask if anything's unclear.
