Mod Change

Hello everyone, I will be modding your_favourites starting today.

The comm has been fun so far, and I'll do everything to keep it that way!



The general mode of the comm will stay the same:

* Each challenge will run for two weeks. I don't have any specific weekdays in mind right now, we will see how it goes.

* You may always icon 2 different things in each challenge (in case you cannot decide which one is your absolute favourite)
* You may enter up to 4 icons (ICON+URL).
* Please submit your icons as new posts to this community. Every member has posting access.
* Forbidden are animations and x-rated icons. Everything else is allowed.
* Icons must fit LJ standards (< 40kb, 100x100 px).
* Please put a description in your entry which thing/person/etc. you picked.


I will make two minor changes to the rules:

* Tagging - You may now tag your entries, if you like. I will create new tags for new participants, but you are free to use all existing tags. If you don't want to tag your posts, or choose a wrong tag by mistake, I will fix them for you.

* Source Images - You may choose any source material you like for your icons. If your favourite castle is "Richard Castle", or your favourite city just looks best on "White Collar", go right ahead! This is supposed to be fun and I don't want to limit your creativity.

Can I put in a request that animation be allowed as a technique?

To be honest, I'm only running this thing for the second day now, and I didn't want to completely dismantle all the existing rules. Removing the restriction for "stock images only" seemed like a big enough change for me in the first step. *g*

How about this: I'll add a question about animation to the next voting poll, and if the majority is in favor, I am fine with changing that rule, too. Does that sound fair to you?
